Frank Kernick
President - Grotto Mountain Developments Inc.; Eagle Terrace Residential Developments; Holland Creek Developments Inc; Spring Creek Mountain Village Inc.

Frank was born and raised in the small town of Canmore, Alberta. He attended the University of Calgary, graduating with an Engineering degree. After working in Calgary for several years, he moved back to Canmore and began his current career of land development.

Frank's professional background is engineering and land development. He started his first development company, Grotto Mountain Development Inc., in 1990 with the initial idea of building a manufactured housing community in the Town of Canmore.

Over the past 18 years Frank has been involved in the development of:

  • Canyon Close, a 49 lot residential subdivision; Grotto Mountain Village, a 125 lot manufactured housing community
  • Eagle Terrace Residential Developments, a 400 lot residential community - all in the Canmore area
  • Lakeview Meadows, a 280 unit residential/recreational community in Invermere, B.C.
  • The most recent project for Frank is underway in Canmore, a redevelopment of a family heritage site now called Spring Creek Mountain Village.

Frank purchased the property known today as Lakeview Meadows in 1998 from Werner and MaryAnn Rombach. Werner and MaryAnn had owned the property for over 25 years. When they decided to sell, Frank was keenly interested because this property was the last large piece of land with its own private beach. Because of his land development experience, Frank realized that the Rombach property held great potential as a wonderful place to live or own a second home.

The dream has become a reality and Lakeview Meadows is one of the most successful developments in the Windermere Valley. Frank now has a beautiful home of his own in Lakeview Meadows and remains an active member of both the Invermere and Lakeview Meadows communities.
